”The ice had a way of erasing things. A trail cut one day would vanish overnight, folded back into the snow as if no one had ever passed. The horizon offered nothing to measure against — only a white distance, and beyond it, more white. The Expedition spares nothing, but for those who trudge and endure, there is solace in the fire that carries them onward.”
Each of us is on our own expedition. Sometimes, we cross paths with one another — we walk together or even choose to follow the same path, and sometimes we pass by each other blindly. It feels like you're trying to navigate a snowstorm.
Once the sky clears, you won’t find the path you walked behind you. That's why they tell us to live in the present: uncertainty is not an anomaly, but a condition for progress. Focusing on the past or the future will only keep you in place.
As for me, I choose to chart my own expedition on my own terms. If there's a way to really make some strides through the snow, it's through the blaze of my curiosity.
The Arctic Expedition is my experience in and out of itself — and this, is my Logbook.
I’ll be honest, I’m not big on writing blog posts. They tend to be a lot of words for not much actionable substance. So why am I writing instead of prototyping? Well, even builders need a proper introduction. And since you’ve found this corner of the internet, you deserve to know who’s behind the projects you’re about to see.
Heyo, I’m Edward. I turn cool ideas into awesome experiences. I’m a fan of interactive and dynamic systems, and I always aim for efficiency, scalability, and interoperability in what I build.
Okay, okay, enough of the fancy words. Let me break this down for you:
I build the software that makes things work, from secure APIs to the dashboards you see on screen. I design how it all looks and feels — the logo, the interface, the full user experience. And sometimes, I even build physical stuff, bringing code to life with robotics and custom hardware.
As of this post, I’m a second-year Biomedical Engineering student at UMFST in Târgu Mureș, Romania. I lead a student team called neobit.gg (yes, “.gg” is part of the name) where we build virtually anything we put our minds to. I’m also working on a couple of passion projects that I’ll be writing a lot about in the future.
Most of what you’ll read will be commented and timestamped voice transcripts from my dev sessions. The format will be quite different from what you’re used to, but I have a feeling you’ll like it just as much, if not more.
You're going to find out about my personal projects, discover what I'm currently working on, and learn new things right alongside me. And since picture-perfect progress makes for a boring read, you get to watch me make objectively bad decisions for objectively bad reasons, and you'll watch me mess up again and again.
That's exactly why I don't call this section of my website a "blog"—I call it Logs. Think of these less as polished articles and more as an open window into my creative process, complete with all the trial, error, and awesome breakthrough moments.
That’s all for now. Awesome content incoming, so stay tuned.
Meet you on the Hyperplane, chief.
